Stenographer Exam of Staff Selection Commission is conducted once only in a year and also the final result comes out. SSC Steno Notification Eligibility

  • A candidate applying for SSC Steno Exam must be a citizen of India. Or else, he/she can be citizen of Nepal/ Bhutan or can be a Tibetan refugee who settled to India on or before 01/01/1962.
  • The minimum age limit of each applicant must be 18 Years as on the date of application.
  • However, in case of upper age limit, it should not be exceeding 30 Years for Grade C Stenographer and 27 years for Grade D Stenographer. Also relaxation is provided to categories of students according reservation policy.
  • In context of educational qualification, a candidate must be 12th pass from an institute recognized by law.

Application Fee

The applicants of the SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Examination 2019 need to go through the official SSC Steno Notification for details regarding the application fee. The amount as prefixed by the Staff Selection Commission for this Exam Fee is ₹100/- only for the candidates belonging to General or OBC Category. While, all other category candidates are exempted from any type of the SSC steno Application Fee.

SSC Stenographer Tier 1 Syllabus

The tier 1 exam for recruitment of candidates for post of Stenographer Grade C and Steno Grade D is computer based exam. The total marks of this exam are 200. Along with this, there is negative marking too in this exam. Each wrong answer will cause a deduction of 0.25 marks from the total marks secured by the candidate.
